I freaking loved this book! I am going to buy this for sure! I haven't read a vampire book such as this one yet. It was unique and the storyline was terrific!
Tana wakes up in a house with dead teenagers all around her. She had went to a part with her ex-boyfriend Aidan. He had been bitten and strapped to a bed, he was also in a room with a very old/young vampire named Gavriel. So you can imagine that Tana was just a wee bit freaked out.
She has to break them all out and go on a road trip to Coldtown where vampires are kept in a kind of commune. Humans can go there as well to live with them. If your infected and not turned yet then you go there too.
They pick up a brother and sister along the way. They were doing an online story about vampires and wanted to go to Coldtown to be changed into vamps. They were going to record all of this for everyone to see as well. They called themselves Winter and Midnight. I liked the fake names :)
They make it there and not everything or everyone is who they say they are and things turn into a cluster. But it is sooooooo good! I absolutely loved it.
I would recommend to anyone that loves vampire stories and wants to read something a little different.
I also developed a crush on Gavriel! :) I wish the author would write a sequel to this book. As far as I know there isn't one, but I can always hope right?

Learn new languages, go skydiving or scuba dive with sharks, visit the African safari. You no longer need to be scared of nature or wildlife – you will have become the worlds strongest predator. Have fun with it and your life as a vampire can be more fulfilling than you ever dreamed. Explore, experiment, experience and get excited.
